Supporters of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held rallies across iconic locations in the United States, from the historic National Monument and Lincoln Memorial in the American Capital to the renowned Golden Gate Bridge on the East Coast.
Organized by the Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) USA, the "Modi ka Parivar March" rallies aimed to bolster confidence in Modi's victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with supporters expressing assurance that the BJP-led alliance would secure over 400 seats.
According to a media release on Sunday, the rallies took place in over 16 cities, including San Francisco, Houston, and Atlanta, rallying behind Prime Minister Modi's re-election and the prospective victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
"Members of the Indian American community representing various states of India, from Kashmir to Kerala and Maharashtra to the east, came out in all colors to march as Modi ka Pariwar at iconic places in over 16 cities in America," remarked Adapa Prasad, President of OFBJP-USA.
Sachindra Nath, participating from San Francisco, emphasized the collective aspiration of "Abki Baar 400 Paar," highlighting the profound respect and solidarity for Modi's leadership.
Participants, spanning all age groups, from young children to the elderly, gathered to express their unwavering support for Modi and his vision for India, as per the media release.
Donning saffron attire and carrying flags, banners, and placards, the marchers formed a unified front as they traversed the Golden Gate, symbolizing the bridge of solidarity and unity fostered by Modi's leadership among Indians worldwide.
"The event served as a powerful statement of the Indian diaspora's commitment to India's progress and its support for the policies and direction under the current government," noted Nath.
Dr. Vasudev Patel, General Secretary of OFBJP-USA, highlighted the enthusiastic support of NRIs and the Indian diaspora for BJP and Modi, emphasizing their active participation alongside their families across the US.
