In just four days of its launch, the FASTag Annual Pass facility, initiated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has earned more than five lakh users, the ministry announced on Monday.
The pass facility was started on August 15, 2025, and offered commuters the option to pay a one-time fee of ₹3,000, which is valid for one year or 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first.
Across 1,150 toll plazas on National Highways, it eliminates travelers the need for frequent recharges.
According to the ministry, Tamil Nadu recorded the highest number of annual pass purchases, followed by Karnataka and Haryana. In terms of toll transactions, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh led the tally.

It has also emerged as the top-ranking government app just days after the pass was rolled out.
