Prime Minister, Narendra Modi today distributed more than 1 lakh appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing. He also laid the foundation stone of Phase I of the Integrated Complex “Karmayogi Bhavan” in New Delhi. This complex will promote collaboration and synergy among various pillars of Mission Karmayogi.
Rozgar Mela will be held at 47 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place across Central Government Departments and State Governments/UTs supporting this initiative.
The new recruits will be joining the Government in various Ministries/Departments viz. Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Higher Education, Department of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Defence, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of Railways in various positions.
During his address, Prime Minister Modi highlighted government's dedication to ensuring transparency in the recruitment process, aiming to eliminate corruption that often arises during prolonged waiting periods between job notifications and the issuance of appointment letters.
"Today, every youth believes that they can secure their job position with hard work and skills," remarked Modi, emphasizing the government's commitment to making youth integral partners in the nation's development journey.
He proudly announced that the current government has provided jobs to the youth at a rate 1.5 times higher than previous administrations over the last decade.
In addition to addressing employment within the government sector, Modi touched upon initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities.
He referenced the recent budget announcement regarding the installation of 1 crore rooftop solar plants, which not only promises to reduce household power bills but also create numerous job opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
Highlighting India's burgeoning startup ecosystem, Modi expressed satisfaction that many startups are emerging from tier 2 and tier 3 cities, thereby decentralizing economic growth and creating employment opportunities in various regions.
He mentioned the continuation of tax rebates for startups and the allocation of a significant fund for promoting research and innovation in the recent budget.
Further, Prime Minister Modi shed light on the transformation underway in the Indian Railways sector, emphasizing the government's efforts to modernize and upgrade facilities for passengers. He highlighted the introduction of 40,000 modern bogies, including the acclaimed Vande Bharat Express, aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and convenience.
Modi also emphasized the far-reaching impact of improved connectivity, citing its role in opening new markets, expanding tourism, and creating lakhs of jobs across various sectors. With substantial investments earmarked for infrastructure development in the recent budget, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence in accelerating national development through the creation of new job opportunities.
He addressed reforms in the selection process for paramilitary forces, ensuring equal opportunities for candidates by conducting examinations in multiple Indian languages. He emphasized the pivotal role of government personnel in the nation's development journey, urging them to dedicate themselves to nation-building.
The newly appointed recruits will also have the opportunity to enhance their skills through the Karmayogi Prarambh online module, featuring over 880 e-learning courses available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal.
