Girls outperformed boys in both class 10 and 12 board exams conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, according to results released Monday.
A CISCE official stated that 99.47% of students passed class 10 exams, while 98.19% cleared class 12 exams.
Boys had a pass percentage of 99.31% in class 10, while girls achieved 99.65%. In class 12, boys' pass percentage was 97.53% compared to girls' 98.92%.
The best-performing schools abroad in class 10 were from Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai, all achieving a 100% pass rate. In class 12, the top schools were from Singapore and Dubai.
The ICSE exam (class 10) covered 60 written subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 13 foreign languages, and one classical language. Exams were held from February 21 to March 28 over 18 days.
The ISC exam (class 12) had 47 written subjects, including 12 Indian languages, four foreign languages, and two classical languages. Exams took place from February 12 to April 4 over 28 days.
