Actor Aamir Khan — touted as Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood — is all set to make a comeback after a hiatus of two years. After his last appearance in Laal Singh Chaddha in the lead role, Mr Khan is back with the remake of Taare Zameen Par, which is Sitaare Zameen Par. The film which will hit the big screen on Christmas 2024 will have Khan as the lead actor.
The film is based on themes similar to Taare Zameen Par where Mr Khan is collaborating with Genelia Deshmukh for the first time. It is expected that the movie will clash with the film Welcome To The Jungle, featuring Akshay Kumar and others.
Mr Khan’s comeback is, unequivocally, an exciting news for his fans. And the actor seems to be working hard for the success of the project. Laal Singh Chaddha, after all, failed to impress the audience at the box office.
As per the sources, Khan said, “My next film as a lead actor is Sitaare Zameen Par. If all goes well, we will release it on the occasion of Christmas. The film is entertaining. The shooting of which has already begun.”
Ending the gap of two years, Sitaare Zameen Par marks Khan’s on-screen comeback. Laal Singh Chaddha was the Indian remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump.
If the movie makes it in time for a Christmas 2024 release, it will likely clash with Welcome To The Jungle featuring an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon. In 2023, Akshay has announced that his comedy will hit the screen on December 20, 2024.
