The filming for the latest “Star Wars” movie, “Star Wars: Starfighter” started earlier this week in the United Kingdom, with the makers marking the occasion by revealing the full cast.
Actors Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Flynn Gray, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings are the latest to join the film.
Directed by Shawn Levy, the film already has Ryan Gosling, Mia Goth and Matt Smith on its star-studded cast.
“I feel a profound sense of excitement and honour as we begin production on Star Wars: Starfighter,” said Levy in a statement. “From the day Kathy Kennedy called me up, inviting me to develop an original adventure in this incredible Star Wars galaxy, this experience has been a dream come true, creatively and personally. Star Wars shaped my sense of what story can do, how characters and cinematic moments can live with us forever. To join this storytelling galaxy with such brilliant collaborators onscreen and off, is the thrill of a lifetime.”

Right now, not much is known about the film apart from the fact that Gosling is the lead, with Grey also in a primary role, while Goth and Smith playing the villains.
The film will be a standalone from the “Skywalker Saga”. The only connective tissue is that the film will take place five years after the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.
The film is set to be released across theatres on May 28, 2027.
