Love Gill has alleged that her public image and career were harmed after remarks made by ScoutOP’s girlfriend, Kaashvi Hiranandani, during Weekend Ka Vaar. The singer also referred indirectly to the controversy involving Punjabi actor Gurpreet Ghuggi and an alleged Rs 5 crore settlement.
During her conversation with ScoutOP, Love said she had already spoken about going through an extremely difficult phase. She added that she had managed to move on from those circumstances only about a month earlier.
Although Love did not name Gurpreet Ghuggi, her comments led to speculation that she was alluding to the controversy connected with the actor.
Love also questioned ScoutOP for not clarifying the situation when Kaashvi allegedly accused her of setting a trap. She asked why he had remained silent while his girlfriend was making the claim. Love went on to accuse ScoutOP of allegedly damaging her career.
What was the Gurpreet Ghuggi controversy?
The dispute began after a Canada-based YouTuber made claims concerning Love Gill and Gurpreet Ghuggi, who appeared together in the Punjabi film Furlow. The allegations suggested that the two had been romantically involved and that Love had become pregnant. They further claimed that a settlement of Rs 5 crore had been reached to keep the matter confidential. These claims, however, have not been verified.
Gurpreet Ghuggi rejected the allegations as “completely false and fabricated”, while Love also denied the rumours.
In May 2026, Love reportedly addressed the continued online trolling through an Instagram Story. She told people who were still asking her about Ghuggi to contact the actor directly if they wanted updates about him.
