Actress Chitrangda Singh recently opened up about the challenges she faced in obtaining meaningful roles in Bollywood and being pigeonholed as a ‘seductress’.
Singh is gearing up for her next project “Battle of Galwan” with Salman Khan. Her last appearance on the big screen was with Akshay Kumar in “Housefull 5” after a gap of seven years.
Singh admitted to missing the thrill of being on the silver screen. “It is a bane of being an actor that you just have to sit and wait,” Singh conceded.
The actress also acknowledged that being typecast with a “seductress” persona has limited the range of roles available to her. “I got offered similar types of roles in a number of films. So perhaps that label contributed to the situation,” she remarked.

But Singh admitted that while she accepts the choices she made, she does sometimes regret the projects she passed on.
“Every time when I see something about those works written, I just feel like going and banging my head somewhere. I wonder what I was thinking and why did I have to listen to people?”
Chitrangda shared a piece of advice for fellow actors: “Please listen to your gut as an actor. Don't listen to any of these wise minds that are always giving advice. It's much better to listen to yourself than somebody else,” she says.
