The much-awaited sequel to the 2005 blockbuster “No Entry” has suffered a major setback as actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has made a quiet exit from the project. The shooting for the film, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor, was set to start in October with a new star cast featuring Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor.
Producer Boney Kapoor has confirmed that Dosanjh is no longer a part of the project. "Yes, we have parted in good spirits as the dates were not aligning with our requirements; hopefully, we will soon do a Punjabi film together," Kapoor was quoted as saying by a news outlet.
According to reports, Diljit had to drop out of “No Entry 2” because of his busy schedule. His upcoming music tour was reportedly clashing with the shooting schedule of the film. His Aura Tour is scheduled across Australia and New Zealand from October 26 to November 13.
The original film, directed by Anees Bazmee, released in 2005 and became one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. The film had a star-studded cast, including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan.
