Netflix has greenlit a fifth season of the popular romantic comedy series 'Emily in Paris'.
The renewal follows the recent release of the second part of the show's fourth season on September 12.
Lily Collins plays the lead role of Emily Cooper, a communication graduate from Chicago who relocates to Paris for a new job.
The series, created by Darren Star, follows Emily as she navigates the trials of living in Paris while managing her career, forming new friendships, and maintaining an active love life.
Darren Star is the series creator and also serves as executive producer alongside Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown, and Robin Schiff. Stephen Brown, Grant Sloss, and Joe Murphy are co-executive producers.
In the fourth season, Emily kindles a romance with a charming Italian fashion heir and subsequently moves into an Italian apartment to establish a Rome office for Agence Grateau.
“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!” Star said on Netflix's social media page Tudum.
Collins serves as a producer alongside Ryan McCormick, Raphaël Benoliel, and Jake Fuller.
