'The Kerala Story 2' teaser out

“The Kerala Story 2 - Goes Beyond” teaser was released on Friday promising to ramp up the adrenaline and outshine its predecessor.

 

The sequel of the 2023 film “The Kerala Story” explores beyond the borders of Kerala. While the original was a commercial and critical success, the chapter 2 continues to follow the journeys of three Hindu girls, played by Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha, and Aditi Bhatia. Their characters fall in love with three Muslim boys, and their relationships subsequently reveal an agenda of religious conversion.

 

 

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film hints at conflicts entrenched in individuality and belief. The edgy and charged teaser explores how love is weaponised, systematically stripping away individual identities. It establishes a volatile environment where religious conviction is transformed into a primary battleground for conflict.

“The Kerala Story 2 - Goes Beyond” is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah while Aashin A Shah has co-produced it under the Sunshine Pictures banner. The film will hit theatres on February 27.

 

The original film “The Kerala Story” was mired in controversy when it first released but went on to garner massive public support. The film starred Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani, Yogita Bihani and Sonia Balani in lead roles.

 

The film followed the story of a group of Kerala women and their foray into radicalisation.
