In a recent statement, Zoe Saldana, renowned for her portrayal of Gamora in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" series, expressed her fervent belief that the beloved characters from the franchise should make a comeback under the Marvel Studios banner.

Saldana initially brought the enigmatic Gamora, the adopted daughter of Thanos and the last survivor of her species, to life in the 2014 hit "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Her portrayal extended across subsequent installments including "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" (2017), "Avengers: Infinity War" (2018), "Avengers: Endgame" (2019), and the most recent "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3."

Stressing on the significance of the Guardians within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Saldana highlighted the irreplaceable appeal of the misfit group, particularly praising the distinctive voice of director James Gunn's writing, which she deemed as exceptionally suited for the genre.

During an appearance on "The Discourse" podcast, Saldana asserted, "I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy.' It’s just such a fan-favourite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like (director) James Gunn’s writing — which is just so marvelous for and very specific for this genre. And it’s so great for this genre as well."

While addressing the possibility of reprising her role as Gamora, Saldana hinted at the character's potential return, stating, "So far, I think that (Gamora is done) for me. But I don’t think Gamora has gone for good."

However, Marvel has yet to unveil any concrete plans for another installment in the "Guardians" saga.

The narrative of the third film, as crafted by writer-director James Gunn, culminated with the formation of a new ensemble comprising familiar faces like Rocket and Groot, alongside newcomers Kraglin, Cosmo, and Adam Warlock, played by Sean Gunn, Maria Bakalova, and Will Poulter respectively.
