Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday that it had destroyed more than 80 sites used by Hezbollah during a forward defence operation in southern Lebanon. In a post on X, the IDF stated that forces from the 300th Brigade, operating under the 146th Division, carried out targeted raids aimed at dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure in the region. Over the past week, troops reportedly destroyed more than 80 such sites and killed two operatives who had emerged from hiding.
The IDF emphasised that it would continue operations to strengthen its forward defence line and prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities.
In a separate update, the IDF said Hezbollah had fired dozens of rockets toward Israel on Tuesday night. Shortly after the launches, Israeli forces began evacuating residents from the city of Tyre and carried out strikes on weapons storage facilities and command centres, allegedly located within civilian areas.

The IDF also reported that overnight strikes targeted additional assets linked to ‘Al-Qard al-Hassan’ in Beirut, describing it as a financial arm of Hezbollah used to fund operations and pay its members.
Separately, the IDF said it had killed Yahya Abu-Labda, identified as a commander in the supply division of Hamas. According to the IDF, Abu-Labda was responsible for procuring and transporting military equipment for Hamas’ armed wing. It alleged that he oversaw the transfer of large quantities of raw materials for rocket production and advanced electronic components, some of which were used in the October 7 attack.
These developments come amid ongoing tensions, as the IDF earlier indicated it had launched a new wave of strikes targeting militant infrastructure in the region.
