As many as 43 Palestinians have been killed in a series of Israeli attacks since dawn, as the death toll crossed 56,000 since October 7, 2023.
Those killed since Monday include 20 aid seekers who were killed while desperately waiting for the aid at the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which, according to human rights organisations, has become a death trap for poor Gazans.
Since controversial GHF began distributing aid in Gaza on May 27, Israeli forces have targeted more than 400 people and injured more than 1,000 people.
“Hungry crowds gather at food distribution centres in Rafah or the Netzarim Corridor. So far, 13 aid seekers have been shot dead today. They are among 30 killed by Israel’s military since the early hours,” reports citing sources on the ground said.

The four people were killed during an air raid on a residential building by Israeli air forces. Three others, all brothers, were killed in targeted killings near the al-Salateen area of Beit Lahiya, in northern Gaza, while they were inspecting their damaged house.
It added that “16 of the 35 injured are in critical condition”.
The total number of people killed in Gaza since the eruption of fighting on October 8, 2023, has crossed 56,000, with more than 131,559 more wounded.
These latest attacks come at a time when the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) warned that the lack of reliable energy sources is a dangerous threat to survival in Gaza.
The NRC in their latest report said, “Deliberate denial of energy access”, like electricity and fuel, “undermines fundamental human needs.”
“In Gaza, energy is not about convenience – it’s about survival,” Benedicte Giaever, executive director of NORCAP, which is part of NRC, has said.
