Author Ashley St. Clair has initiated legal proceedings against billionaire industralist Elon Musk, seeking custody of their alleged child, whom she claims they welcomed last autumn, reports said.
According to official documents presented in the New York Supreme Court, St. Clair has filed for both custody and paternity to legally establish Musk as the father of the five-month-old boy, referred to as R.S.C.
St. Clair alleged that she and the SpaceX CEO began a romantic relationship in May 2023, leading to the conception of R.S.C.
She gave birth on 17 September.
Despite Musk's alleged “parentage of the child in various written correspondences,” as evidenced by screenshots shared by St. Clair in the filing, he has so far distanced himself from the controversy.
The documents further stated that Musk was not present at the time of birth and had minimal involvement in the child’s life, having met him only three times, with the last encounter in late November. St. Clair claimed the Tesla CEO was not fulfilling his obligations as a parent.

A screenshot included in the legal filing reveals a text exchange where a sender, purportedly Musk, urges St. Clair to remain silent about their son due to “threat levels” amid the presidential election.
Musk texted, “I'm #2 after Trump for assassination. Wake up. This is not the time for sentiment at the expense of safety.”
St. Clair responded, “That's why the father spot on his birth certificate is blank right now, E. And why he has my last name.”
Musk allegedly replied, “Necessary for now... Loose lips sink ships.”
St. Clair announced the child on Valentine's Day. “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote on X, seeking respect for their son's privacy.
Following her announcement, St. Clair claims Musk ceased communication despite her attempts to reach out.
As of now, Musk has not publicly responded to St. Clair’s claims.
