Chinese President Xi Jinping, while opening the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin on Monday, said we won't tolerate the bullying behaviour of certain countries in a veiled reference to Washington’s recent trade war.
Also, Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed the West for triggering the war in Ukraine. The SCO encompasses China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus and is touted as a non-Western style of collaboration and seeks to be an alternative to traditional alliances.
In his reference to the Ukraine war, Xi told Putin and Lukashenko that the peaceful international solution to the crisis was becoming more "chaotic and intertwined".
Xi said, “While the future of the world is undergoing massive transformative and radical changes, we must uphold the Shanghai spirit... and better perform the functions of the organisation.”
While speaking at the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday defended the war in Ukraine by blaming the West for triggering and forcing Russia to take preventive steps. He said thousands have died in the three and a half years of the conflict and left devastation behind in eastern Ukraine, all because of Western ignorance.
Putin said, "This crisis wasn't triggered by Russia's attack on Ukraine but was a result of a coup in Ukraine, which was supported and provoked by the West." “Russia cannot tolerate an axis of 30 countries deploying forces close to its borders; threatening Russia is their biggest mistake, and dragging Ukraine into NATO is the reason for this conflict,” he said.
Putin also said he had reached an understanding during his summit with US President Donald Trump at a summit in August that opened a way to find a resolution to the crisis in Ukraine.
"In this regard, we highly appreciate the efforts and proposals from China and India aimed at facilitating the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis," he said. Putin Praised and thanked China and India for siding with the right side, as Russia was defending its territorial integrity in Ukraine.

It’s pertinent to mention that China and India are some of the most highly affected countries after Donald announced more than 50 per cent of the trade tariffs on goods from both nations.
The United States has called India a laundromat of Russia while alleging that China is sponsoring the Ukraine war. It's the first time after World War II that the EU is witnessing a war of this scale, which has triggered a refugee crisis in the West. The same wars they have been facilitating in Africa, the Middle East and South Asian nations.
The EU is getting the taste of their own medicine, as the Ukraine war has frustrated the West due to only two major factors: Iranian drones and China and India's energy imports from Russia.
