‘False’ and ‘baseless’, said Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei on Wednesday, called US President Donald Trump's remarks on Tehran allegedly asking for a ceasefire.
Also, Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard separately issued a statement saying the Strait of Hormuz “is firmly and decisively under the control” of its forces.
“This strait will not be opened to the enemies of this nation through the ridiculous spectacle by the president of the United States,” it added.
Meanwhile, the US President Donald Trump today affirmed that the American troops will soon be out of Iran, and return, if needed. He then claimed that the Iranian President is seeking a ceasefire.
"They won't have a nuclear weapon because they are incapable of that now, and then I'll ?leave, and I'll take everybody with me, and if we have to we'll ?come back to do spot hits," Trump said.
