The Iranian government has reportedly begun the judicial process against 20 Mossad collaborators caught during the 12 days of war with Israel. Tehran’s judiciary has threatened to make an example out of all the collaborators who tried to sabotage the nation by hatching a criminal conspiracy against the state with enemies.
Earlier on Wednesday, Tehran executed a nuclear scientist named Rouzbeh, who was accused of spying for Israel and passing critical information on the other nuclear scientists killed in Israel’s air strikes on Iran in June, state media said. Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangiri informed reporters in Tehran on Saturday that charges against some of the 20 suspects had been dropped and they were released.
Jahangiri told reporters, “The judiciary will show no mercy towards spies, agents, and collaborators working for the Zionist regime, with firm and exemplary rulings,” adding Iran will make an example of them all. There were reports that Iranian intelligence agencies had caught some 79 Israeli spies who were in direct contact with the spy agency Mossad.

It also confirmed that some of the agents caught were foreign nationals, though the identity of those has not yet been revealed. Iran has so far executed several Israeli spies working inside Iran. The reports suggest that at least eight death sentences have been carried out in recent months.
In mid-June, Israel launched an unprecedented bombing campaign against Iran, triggering a war during which Iran responded with missile and drone strikes. The Israeli offensive killed senior military commanders, nuclear scientists and hundreds of others, striking both military sites and residential areas.
Since the war, Iranian authorities have announced multiple arrests of people accused of spying for Israel and the executions of several convicted of working with Mossad.
