Israel has carried out midnight airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, killing at least two people and causing infrastructure damage, a Houthi spokesperson said on Monday.
Israel has continued its attacks in neighbouring Syria, Lebanon and Yemen under the pretext of preventing future strikes from these nations.
Earlier, the Houthis fired two missiles towards Israel. Although they did not cause any damage, they triggered alarms in several parts of the country.
Israeli citizens have also grown frustrated over prevailing uncertainty amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which they fear might engulf the country’s limited military resources.
The concerns are real; many Israelis expect further damage if their government re-strategises for another military confrontation against Iran.

While Israeli forces are preparing to reoccupy Gaza City, several hundred thousand protesters have taken to the streets, demanding safety and the return of captives held by Hamas inside Gaza.
Beyond the battlefield, the war in Gaza has also strained Israel’s ties with some of its strong allies, including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, the Netherlands, the UK and Sweden.
The French government, especially President Emmanuel Macron, has led a strong campaign against what he termed the IDF and Netanyahu government’s “inhumane and unjust treatment of civilians.”
“Israel is weaponising aid, and the international community must not allow this to happen. The tactics Israel uses in Gaza are unacceptable to France,” he said.
Meanwhile, Israel has described the French comments as unfortunate and part of what it claims is a broader anti-Semitism campaign under way in France.
