Hours following US President Donald Trump's assertion that a ceasefire had been realised, images of Israel shooting down Iranian missiles have been seen on social media.
The Israel Defence Forces blared sirens throughout regions in Israel after it had picked up signs of incoming missiles from Iran.
These missiles follow Iran saying it has ceased all military operations and attacks on Israel as of 4 AM local time. Tehran, however, said that it will cease attacks if only Israel stops its military strikes against Iran.
Following Iran's missile strike against US bases in Qatar, US President Donald Trump went to Truth Social and boasted that a ceasefire between Israel-Iran had been achieved.

Nevertheless, following Trump's declaration, Iranian foreign minister said that Tehran had not received any ceasefire proposal or deal from the US.
Iran and Israel have been at war for the last 12 days. Relations had been heated since Israel initiated 'Operation rising Lion' and had attacked Iran's military bases and nuclear plants.
Since then, Iran and Israel have been regularly trading fire and missile strikes, resulting in the deaths of about 400 individuals in Iran and about 24 in Israel. In addition, the US entered the fray after it conducted raids on three Iranian nuclear sites.
