As many as 116 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza, including 38 killed near the aid distribution sites in Rafah in the past 24 hours, according to the Gaza health ministry.
The latest casualties include a 35-day-old infant, who died due to severe malnutrition at Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital.
The rights groups in the United States have accused Israel of forcibly starving people to death in Gaza, “backed by billions in US taxpayer-supplied weapons and aid.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli government is also facing severe domestic pressure from the families of the captives currently held by Hamas in war-torn Gaza, who could die as a result of an Israeli strike as attacks continue unabated across the occupied enclave.
Reportedly, tens of thousands of people have marched in Tel Aviv, urging US President Donald Trump to reach a deal to end the deadly invasion of Gaza to bring back the 50 remaining captives in Gaza.

Among those protesting on the streets of Tel Aviv was freed captive Doron Steinbrecher.
While speaking at the March organised at Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square, she said, “Six months ago, I saw the sun for the first time after 471 days in the tunnels.”
“Six months ago, I drew my first breath that wasn’t all fear. Now, after six months, I still can’t breathe … without fear,” she continued. “It’ll take time. And the first step is that everyone comes back.”
While mentioning United States president Donal trump in her address, she said, “We have met and spoken; I know how personally important this is to you, how deeply you are involved, and I know what you are capable of. Make it happen,” she said. “Let everyone emerge through the gates of hell so that we may rise.”
The Israeli invasion of Gaza has killed more than 58,765 people and wounded 140,485. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks, and more than 200 were taken captive.
