Israeli attacks on Saturday killed at least 41 Palestinians, 29 of whom were aid seekers. The attack took place at an aid site in Rafah.
Sources told reporters, "41 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli raids on the Strip today, including 29 aid seekers. While 100 people have been wounded."
So far, 900 people have been killed while waiting for food distribution in Gaza since 27 May, when the GHF began distributing aid. Most of those were killed in the vicinity of the GHF sites. The World Food Program (WFP) said thousands of people in Gaza are on the "verge of catastrophic hunger and starvation," with one in three people in the enclave not eating for days at a time.
While Hamas has rejected the latest peace proposal that would have seen the release of all remaining captives held in Gaza, it pledged that the group was ready for a lengthy war if there was no deal.

In his recent remarks, the US President Donald Trump said, "We got most of the hostages back. We’re going to have another 10 coming very shortly, and we hope to have that finished quickly." Trump's repeated claims have fallen flat in the context of the Gaza ceasefire. Mediators, including Egypt and Qatar, are reportedly growing frustrated with Israel demanding control over the key corridors and entry points in Gaza.
Experts have raised concerns over the move and said that Israel was trying to bifurcate Gaza into two separate parts, like it has done in the West Bank. Besides mediators and Hamas, the international community has categorically rejected the move aimed at demographic changes hinted at by the Israeli prime minister.
Some of Israel’s staunch supporters are also criticising the unabated violence against aid seekers in Gaza. In one of the rarest criticisms posted, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Israel’s behaviour is "no longer acceptable." Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 58,667 people and wounded 139,974.
