The Israeli military reported an incursion of a threat neutralized in southern Lebanon today: "A short while back, terrorist activity was detected at a Hezbollah installation equipped with medium-range rockets. The threat was foiled by an aerial attack from fighter jets," IDF said on X.
The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the ongoing Lebanon war has resulted in on 3961 deaths and 16520 injured over the last year due to the fighting severely concentrated within the last two months. The ministry observed that figures are increasing after "bodies being found under the rubble."
The Iran-backed Shia terrorist group Hezbollah neither supported the ceasefire nor condemned the truce, it reiterated its willingness to resist Israel and protect Lebanese sovereignty. "Our fighters remain completely ready to respond to the hopes and assaults of the Israeli enemy," the militant stated. It also reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian cause.
The ceasefire also accompanied the beginning of a phased withdrawal stage from the area over two months. Israel would leave southern Lebanon, and Hezbollah would remove its fighters and heavy weaponry from a 25-kilometer deep (16-mile) buffer zone. The withdrawal commenced Wednesday from 4 a.m. local time.
