At least 31 people have been killed, including 14 members of the Jaish-e-Mohammad Chief Maulana Masood Azhar’s Family, in Indian airstrikes in Pakistan on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, while 57 others were injured, said DGISPR Pakistan.

The figure was updated after initial reports claimed 26 people had died as a result of the precision strikes. Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said the cause of increased deaths and injuries is the ceasefire violations at the Line of Control.

The Shelling on the LoC continued on the 14th day after the Pahalgam terror attack in which terrorists shot dead 26 civilians, mostly tourists, in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam on April 22.

Pakistani director general of Inter Services Public relations accused India of putting the lives of thousands of people at risk, as “there were fifty-seven domestic and international flights in Pakistan’s airspace.”

He said the “Indian actions put the lives of thousands of civilians, who belong to different countries.”

However, after the strikes, “the Indian side said it is not seeking further escalation, and the intended action was a limited, calculated, and measured response to some high-value targets inside Pakistani territory.”

Chaudhary threatened to launch attacks in response to Operation Sindoor, as Pakistani army forces, who are already at crossroads with the Pakistani populace, are now facing a daunting challenge as their reputation is at stake, including the unpopular government led by Shehbaz Sharif.

The Director General of ISPR made it clear that our desire for peace should not be misconstrued as our weakness. The Armed Forces of Pakistan will not compromise on the security of the motherland.

He threatened that “every drop of blood will be avenged with full might.” Meanwhile, a high alert has been sounded in the border areas, including Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

Additionally, schools and airports have been shut amid speculation of the Pakistani attack.
