Sikkim's Manita Pradhan, a 38-year-old professional mountaineer from Soreng, has added another achievement to her Seven Summit project by successfully summiting Mt Denali in North America.
On June 23, 2024, Pradhan and her team commenced their ascent at 11:00 am, reaching the peak by 10:30 pm the same day.
Pradhan's triumph on Mt Denali further cements her impressive mountaineering record, which includes successful ascents of Mt Everest, Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Elbrus, and Mt Aconcagua.
Her journey to conquer the highest mountains on each of the seven continents continues, with only two peaks remaining: Mount Vinson Massif in Antarctica and Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia.
Earlier this year, in January, Pradhan conquered Mt Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, reaching the 6,962-meter summit in the Andes mountain range in Argentina.
With her sights set on completing the Seven Summits challenge, Pradhan continues to inspire with her determination and achievements, pushing the boundaries of mountaineering and leaving a lasting legacy in the field.
