The general secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in Bajaur, Sufi Hameed Jan, was tragically shot dead on Thursday in an attack by unidentified assailants. The incident took place in Anyat Qila, a town in Bajaur.
According to reports from Dunya News, the assailants opened fire indiscriminately on Jan, leaving him severely wounded. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Jan succumbed to his injuries before he could receive medical treatment.
