Actor Aamir Khan has confirmed that he is in a relationship with his long-time friend, Gauri Spratt. The revelation came during a media interaction in Mumbai on the eve of his 60th birthday celebrations.
The Bollywood superstar shared that while he has been dating Spratt for a year, the two have known each other for over 25 years.
Gauri Spratt, who resides in Bengaluru, is currently working under Aamir Khan’s production banner. The actor also revealed that they are living together and that she is the mother of a six-year-old son. He added that Spratt has already met his family, who have welcomed the relationship.
Aamir Khan expressed that he is committed to Spratt and is happy in their relationship. Interestingly, he mentioned that she is not a keen Bollywood follower and has only watched a handful of his films, including Lagaan and Dangal.
The actor recalled how Spratt once told him that she does not believe in the ‘superstar’ label often associated with him. According to Khan, she is still adjusting to the “Bollywood madness.”
The revelation comes just days after Aamir hosted an intimate birthday dinner, where he invited his close friends and fellow actors, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. During the gathering, Gauri Spratt had the opportunity to meet the other two Khans, marking her entry into his close social circle.
Spratt is of mixed heritage, being half Tamilian and half Irish. Her grandfather was a freedom fighter, adding an interesting dimension to her family background.
Aamir Khan has been married twice before. His first marriage was with Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan.
After their separation, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he shares a son, Azad Rao Khan. Khan and Rao announced their divorce in July 2021 but have continued to maintain an amicable relationship.
