Car owned by Marathi Actress Urmila Kothare runs over two workers in Mumbai.

In a tragic incident in Mumbai, a car owned by Marathi actress Urmila Kothare ran over two workers near Kandivali, resulting in one death and leaving the other severely injured.

The accident occurred near the Poisar Metro station, when the car, driven by Kothare’s chauffeur, lost control and struck the two Metro workers.

At the time of the accident, Urmila was returning from a film shoot. While the actress and her driver sustained injuries, they were not seriously hurt due to the timely inflation of the car’s airbags.

However, the two workers, employed at the metro construction site, were not so fortunate. One of them was killed instantly, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

According to the police, the car was travelling at high speed when the collision occurred, leading to the tragic loss of life. Authorities have filed a case against the driver, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the full details of the incident.

Urmila Kothare is a prominent figure in the Marathi film industry, well-known for her roles in popular movies such as Duniyadaari, Shubhmangal Saavdhan, and Ti Sadhya Kay Karte.

She recently made a return to television with the hit show Tujech Mi Geet Gaat Ahe, marking her comeback after a 12-year hiatus from the small screen.

This accident comes at a time when Mumbai has been grappling with road safety concerns.

Just days earlier, on December 21, a six-year-old boy tragically died in Navi Mumbai when the airbag in his family’s car inflated during a crash. The child, who was seated in the front seat, suffered fatal neck injuries from the impact of the airbag.
