In a tragic incident that has sparked outrage and protests, a Class 10 student at a private school in Ahmedabad was fatally stabbed by a Class 8 student. The confrontation, which took place on the school's premises, led to a massive protest by parents and locals on Wednesday, resulting in vandalism, according to reports.
Police have detained the younger student, and a case has been registered. Investigations have uncovered a disturbing chat in which the accused confessed to the crime in a conversation with a friend.
Friend: Bhai, did you do something today?
Accused: Yes.
Friend: Did you stab someone?
Accused: Who told you?
Friend: Please call for a minute.
Accused: No, I’m with my brother. He doesn’t know what happened.
Friend: He (the victim) has died.
Accused: Tell him (a mutual friend) that I killed him. He knows me—tell him now.
Friend: What actually happened?
Accused: He asked me, “Who are you, and what will you do?”
Friend: You can’t stab someone for that… You could’ve just hit him.
Accused: Whatever happened, happened.
Friend: Take care. Go underground for a while. Delete these chats.
Accused: Ok.
Reports suggest that the altercation began when the two students accidentally bumped into each other on a staircase. The initial physical contact led to a verbal dispute that quickly escalated, and the Class 8 student allegedly used a knife to stab the senior student.
The injured student was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment but unfortunately died from his injuries.
