On Wednesday morning, more than 50 schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email, according to a report from national media. While a complete list of affected schools has not been released, it is known that one of the schools is in Malviya Nagar and another is in Najafgarh.
The Sarvodya Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) in the Hauz Rani area of Delhi also received a threat. Visuals from the scene showed a bomb squad and security personnel arriving at the school to conduct searches.
This incident comes just two days after a similar series of events on Monday, when 32 schools across the city received comparable threats. These previous threats led to widespread evacuations and extensive security checks, which ultimately confirmed the emails were hoaxes. On Monday, institutions such as Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School in Sector 10, Dwarka, were among those that received the threatening emails.

A Delhi Police officer had confirmed at the time, “All students and staff have been evacuated as a precautionary measure. Search operations are underway.”
It was later discovered that the threats were sent by a group calling itself "The Terrorizers 111 Group," which demanded a ransom of $5,000 in cryptocurrency. The emails claimed that the group had hacked the schools' IT systems and had planted "pipe bombs and advanced explosive devices" within the buildings.
Hoax bomb threats to schools are not new to the national capital. In May of the previous year, nearly 300 schools received similar threats via email, all of which turned out to be hoaxes. More recently, in July, a series of bomb threats were reported over three consecutive days, targeting eight schools and St. Stephen's College at Delhi University. In one of those emails, it was claimed that four IEDs and two packets of RDX had been planted on the college campus.
