Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday mentioned that people in border regions fully supported the Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor, showing that keeping the nation safe is a duty shared by all citizens.
After starting a Defence and Sports Academy in Jodhpur, he said the nation can handle any difficulty and become stronger if people, especially the young generation, stay informed and committed to their responsibilities. The Defence Minister praised the enthusiasm and hard work of the young people during Operation Sindoor.
He remembered that the Armed Forces reacted strongly to the terror attack in Pahalgam and successfully reached their goals with accuracy. Singh said that when terrorists attacked innocent people because of their religion, the Armed Forces targeted those who helped the terrorists based on what those people did. He said the operation was about finding out who New India really is.

The Defence Minister emphasised the importance of the new academy, stating that combining defence, education, and sports is essential for creating a secure and strong country. He said that perseverance, discipline, patience, and determination are traits that help both soldiers and athletes, and he also mentioned that students who grow up in such an environment can make the country proud on a national and international stage.
Singh thanked the soldiers from Rajasthan for protecting the country and noted that the number of officers from the state is still less than the number of soldiers. He encouraged young people to become officers in the military and help make the country safer.
