Delhi CM Assures Farmers of Solutions to Their Issues.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has assured farmers that all their concerns will be addressed, emphasising that the "double-engine government"—a collaboration between the Central and Delhi governments—will work together to resolve their problems.

She made these remarks on Saturday after holding a budget consultation with farmers from across the national capital.

Gupta stated that the meeting was organised to hear farmers' views on the upcoming Delhi Budget 2025. Farmers from different parts of Delhi participated in the discussion and shared their suggestions regarding development and agricultural concerns.

The Chief Minister acknowledged that villages in Delhi had seen little progress over the past 15 to 20 years, leading to heightened expectations from the newly formed Delhi government.

She assured farmers that their issues would be prioritised and resolved through a collaborative effort between the Centre and the Delhi administration.

Gupta’s interaction with farmers follows a similar consultation she held on March 6 with traders, businessmen, and business organisations. During that session, business representatives from across the city highlighted key concerns affecting the business community.

Additionally, she mentioned that her government is actively seeking public suggestions for the upcoming budget. She recently visited slum areas in RK Puram Assembly constituency, engaging with residents to understand their needs and incorporate their inputs into policy planning.

The Budget Session of the Delhi Assembly is scheduled to take place from March 24 to March 28, with the budget being formally presented on March 25.

The Legislative Assembly Secretariat of the NCT of Delhi has stated that the session could be extended if required. The meetings will be held at the Old Secretariat, Delhi, commencing at 11:00 AM each day.

With these consultations, the Delhi government aims to ensure that the concerns of farmers, traders, and underprivileged communities are taken into account while formulating the budget, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive governance.
