Delhi Police detained YouTuber Dhruv Rathee from his residence in Gurugram’s Sector 56 on Saturday, where he was staying with his family.
Rathee was allegedly in the national capital to take part in a protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party, or CJP. He was taken into custody before the demonstration began.
A Delhi Police team reportedly reached the house at around 7:48 am after Rathee’s mother opened the door. The residence is located in Central Park Vihar in Sector 56, Gurugram.
Approximately 50 police personnel had gathered outside the residence late on Thursday night before Rathee was taken into custody from his home.
