As floods cause damage in Punjab, nearby villages in Haryana are helping out by collecting money, food, medicine, and animal feed to assist the families who are affected.
In Rohtak’s Meham, the people of Madina village came together and raised ₹2 lakh through donations given voluntarily. We keep in regular contact with farmers in Punjab. "They have supported people around the world during hard times, and now it's our turn to support them," said Pradeep Dangi.
The funds will be used to purchase food supplies, hygiene items, sleeping mats, and medical supplies, and more villages are being contacted to get involved in this initiative. From Bawani Khera in Bhiwani, 25 villages that are part of Sarv Jateye Jatu Khap-84 have begun gathering grain, fodder, and donations from every household.

Trolleys filled with supplies are heading to Gurdaspur, Moga, Fazilka, and Muktsar on Monday. "Punjab is like our elder brother—and we are even willing to share our harvest so that no one goes hungry," said Captain Bhim Singh, the khap president. In Dhanana village of Bhiwani, farmer leader Ajit Ghangas said one panchayat collected 80 quintals of wheat, five trolleys of fodder, and ₹80,000 in cash.
Even during strong rain, our team is still working. He said that wheat will be turned into flour packets so it can be given directly to people in Punjab. Ujhana village in Jind has also sent help. Former sarpanch Satbir Saini said that the villagers gave 150 quintals of wheat to Punjab’s gurdwaras, along with trolleys full of fodder.
Punjab farmers supported us during the farmers' protest. "Today, it is our responsibility to ensure that not one Punjabi goes to sleep without having roti," he said.
