Heavy rainfall continued to lash parts of Rajasthan, with Indargarh in Bundi district recording the highest rainfall of 144 millimetres over the past 24 hours, the local meteorological office said on Saturday morning.
According to the India Meteorological Department’s centre in Jaipur, the spell of monsoon rain is expected to persist across the state in the coming days.
Bari in Dholpur received 70 millimetres of rain, while Fagi in Jaipur district recorded 50 millimetres. Several other locations, including Amet in Rajsamand, Kathumar in Alwar, and Kishanganj in Baran, each logged 30 millimetres of rainfall.
The weather office also reported that Sedwa in Barmer and Malpura in Tonk received 30 millimetres of rain. Additionally, more than 10 millimetres of rainfall was measured at several locations in Bikaner, Nagaur, Bhilwara, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Jhunjhunu, and Sawai Madhopur districts.
The Met Centre has forecast continued rainfall over the next three to four days in parts of Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Udaipur divisions in eastern Rajasthan. Some areas may witness heavy to very heavy rainfall during this period.
