Asif Qureshi, a cousin of Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, was killed in Delhi's Nizamuddin area following a dispute over a two-wheeler parking spot. The incident took place at approximately 11 pm on Thursday in Jangpura Bhogal Lane. Police have since arrested both of the accused individuals.
According to a police statement, a heated argument began between Asif and two neighbours after they parked a two-wheeler directly in front of the main gate of his house. The dispute escalated, and the accused men attacked Asif Qureshi with sharp weapons. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Asif's wife, Sainaz Qureshi, and other relatives allege that the attack was merciless and occurred over a trivial issue. Sainaz Qureshi told the police that the same individuals had previously had an altercation with her husband over the same parking spot. On the night of the incident, she said, Asif had just returned home from work and found the neighbours' two-wheeler blocking his main entrance. He asked them to move the vehicle, but instead of complying, they reportedly began to abuse him and then attacked him with sharp weapons.
The police have registered a case based on these allegations and have successfully arrested both of the accused after launching a manhunt. A further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
