The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Northwest and East India and heavy rainfall in Northeast India over the next 4-5 days.
The weather department anticipates light to moderate rain in Northwest and Central India in the next five days. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in the Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad region on July 4 and 6.
Himachal Pradesh is likely to experience rain on July 6 and 7, Uttarakhand on July 8, Punjab on July 4, 6, and 7, Haryana-Chandigarh on July 4 and 7, Uttar Pradesh on July 4-8, West Rajasthan and Vidarbha on July 4, East Rajasthan on July 5 and 6, West Madhya Pradesh on July 5, East Madhya Pradesh on July 4 and 5, and Chhattisgarh on July 4, 7, and 8 are expected to witness light to moderate rain.
The Jammu division is predicted to experience heavy rainfall on July 5. Himachal Pradesh is expected to experience heavy rainfall on July 4 and 5, Uttarakhand from July 4 to 7, Punjab on July 5, and Uttar Pradesh on July 4 and 5.
Additionally, Uttarakhand is predicted to witness heavy rainfall from July 4 to 7, Punjab on July 5, Uttar Pradesh on July 5 and 6, East Rajasthan on July 4, and West Madhya Pradesh on July 4 are also predicted to have heavy rainfall.
Over the next five days, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in East and Northeast India. On July 4, West Bengal is expected to have isolated heavy rainfall, while the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are predicted to have heavy rainfall on July 4 and 5.
Jharkhand is expected to have light to moderate rainfall on July 4 and 5, Odisha on July 4, 6, and 8, Bihar from July 6 to 8, and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on July 7 and 8. Additionally, Assam and Meghalaya are anticipated to experience light to moderate rainfall on July 8.
The states of Bihar will experience isolated very heavy rainfall on July 4 and 5. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are predicted to witness isolated very heavy rainfall from July 4 to 6.
From July 6, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are expected to experience isolated, very heavy rainfall. Furthermore, Assam and Meghalaya are anticipated to have isolated very heavy rainfall on July 6 and 7, and Odisha on July 7.
On July 4 and 5, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are expected to endure isolated extremely heavy rainfall.
IMD said isolated very heavy rainfall is likely over Konkan and Goa from July 4 to 6, Madhya Maharashtra from July 4 to 8, Saurashtra and Kutch from July 4, Coastal Karnataka from July 4 to 7, and South Interior Karnataka from July 4 to 6 and 7.
Gujarat is expected to witness isolated extremely heavy rainfall today.
