India on Saturday condemned Pakistan’s air strikes inside Afghanistan, asserting that Kabul’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be fully respected.
Responding to media queries on the issue, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India strongly disapproved of the aerial raids that reportedly caused civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.
“India condemns the air strikes by Pakistan in Afghanistan's territory, leading to the death of several civilians and destruction of civilian infrastructure,” Jaiswal said.
Calling the action an aggressive move, he added, “This is yet another act of aggression by a Pakistani establishment that remains hostile to the idea of a sovereign Afghanistan.”

India reiterated that any action undermining the sovereignty of a neighbouring country was unacceptable.
“India reiterates that Afghanistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity should be fully respected,” the spokesperson said.
The remarks came amid reports that the Pakistani military carried out air strikes inside Afghanistan over the past few weeks as tensions escalated between Pakistan and authorities in Kabul.
Relations between the two sides have remained strained in recent months, with cross-border security concerns and militant activity triggering sharp exchanges and military responses along the frontier.
