Femina Miss India World 2023 Nandini Gupta missed out on the Miss World 2025 title at the 72nd Miss World Festival. She couldn't make it to the top 2 in Asia and Oceania.
The Miss World official page announced the top 8 contestants, including representatives from Brazil, Ethiopia, Poland, and the Philippines, among others.
The much awaited grand finale of Miss World 2025 kickstarted today in Hyderabad. India's Nandini Gupta had impressed people with her beauty and confidence. It was expected that she might be the next one to take the crown of Miss World after Manushi Chillar. But she could not make it to top 8 contestants of the finale.
Gupta, a 21-year-old beauty queen, hails from Kota, Rajasthan. She, reportedly, has a Business Management degree and did her schooling at Saint Paul’s Senior Secondary School. Earlier, while speaking to the media, she had revealed that her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker. She reminisced about her childhood and how she grew up playing in the fields.

Recalling her journey of winning Miss India at 19, she added, “When I won Miss India at the age 19, my mom told me that she had won Miss Madhya Pradesh when she was 21, but her dream of participating in Miss India could not be fulfilled… By competing in Miss World, I am living my mother's dream.”
The 72nd Miss World pageant had officially kicked started on Saturday, May 11, 2025 evening. The Miss World 2025 inaugural event was held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad with a grand opening ceremony, in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy.
Miss India Nandini Gupta walked into the event with the Indian national flag held in her hands. This was followed by all the Miss World contestants walking in holding their respective countries' national flags.
The event began with the tunes of Telangana's state song. This was followed by a spectacular Perini dance performance. But the most breathtaking were the attires of Miss World pageant contestants which represented the native cultures of the participants.
