The officials of the Uzbekistan Army met with the Indian Army officials and discussed ways to strengthen the defence ties between the two nations.
Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces’ delegation, headed by Colonel Zafarjon Tokhirov, visited the Indian Army's Shatrujeet Brigade.
“The delegation was acquainted with the formation’s combat history, specialised training regimes, and advanced airborne capabilities. The visit reinforces the growing bilateral military connection and defence partnership between India and Uzbekistan”, wrote the Surya Command in a post on X.
The relationship between India and Uzbekistan could be traced back to 2019, when a joint working group was established. The fourth JWG meeting took place in Uzbekistan last year.
