Indian Army takes out ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Leh

As India prepares to celebrate its 78th Independence Day, various patriotic initiatives are being organised across the country to honour the occasion and promote national pride. 

 

On Wednesday, the Indian Army organised a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Leh, Ladakh, marching from Col. Rinchen’s Memorial to the Hall of Fame. Army personnel participated by waving the tricolour and singing patriotic songs as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ walkathon in Srinagar, where CRPF jawans participated to spread the message of respect for the national flag. Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG, Srinagar Sector CRPF, emphasised the importance of invoking a sense of pride and respect for the Tiranga through this rally.

 

In Telangana, the CRPF held a rally as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,’ marching from Parade Ground in Chandrayan Gutta to Charminar in Hyderabad.

 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. During the event, he highlighted that the campaign is not just an expression of patriotism but also a commitment to building a developed India by 2047, when the country will celebrate 100 years of independence.

 

Shah urged citizens to ensure that the tricolor is displayed on every house, building, office, and vehicle, emphasizing the importance of the campaign as part of India's journey towards development.

 

In the 112th episode of his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, Prime Minister Modi encouraged all Indians to actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

 

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which began in 2021 as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aims to inspire patriotism and create awareness about the Indian National Flag. The initiative encourages citizens to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 75 years of independence.

 

These events and campaigns reflect a nationwide effort to promote patriotism and unity as India approaches another milestone in its journey as an independent nation.
