BJP MP Kangana Ranaut speaks on techie Atul Subhash's suicide.

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has stirred up controversy once again with her comments on the suicide of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash, whose tragic death has shocked the nation. While expressing her condolences, she also blamed men for most of the problems in marriages, leading to a fresh debate on gender issues.

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old software professional from Uttar Pradesh, was found hanging in his Bengaluru home in the Manjunath Layout area. In a viral 80-minute video and a 24-page death note, Subhash accused his wife, her family, and a judge from Uttar Pradesh of harassment, claiming it was the reason he took his own life.

A placard reading "Justice is due" was found at the scene of his death.

Kangana Ranaut called the incident "heartbreaking" but also commented that "fake feminism is condemnable" and accused people of extorting large amounts of money.

However, she added, "In 99 percent of marriage cases, it’s the men who are at fault. That’s why such mistakes also happen." These comments have sparked both support and criticism online, reigniting the debate around marriage harassment cases, fake feminism, and gender issues.

What Atul Subhash said in his video?

In his viral video, Subhash explained his decision to end his life: "The money I earn is making my enemies stronger. That same money will be used to destroy me, and this cycle will keep going. With the money from my taxes, this court and police system will harass me, my family, and other good people. So, the supply of value should be finished."

He also requested that his wife and her family be excluded from his final rites and urged his family to discard his ashes outside a court’s gutter if those responsible for his harassment were not held accountable.

A senior police official confirmed that a case of abetment to suicide has been filed against Subhash’s wife and her family members based on a complaint from Subhash’s family. "All the allegations are being investigated, and no arrests have been made yet," the officer said.
