Based on the IMD's early-morning satellite analysis, intense to very intense convection is underway over the southern Andaman Sea, the Strait of Malacca, and surrounding regions. Wind speeds are estimated at 15-20 knots, with gusts up to 30 knots, maintaining moderate sea conditions.

The IMD also noted that an upper-air cyclonic circulation over Comorin and neighbouring areas is likely to spawn a fresh low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka around November 25, with potential for further intensification thereafter.

When the first system escalate into a cyclonic storm, it will be designated 'Senyar'. This name, meaning "lion", was contributed by the United Arab Emirates, following the naming convention for cyclones in the North Indian Ocean. IMD protocol dictates that a cyclone is formally named only once it reaches the "cyclonic storm" stage, having passed the deep depression threshold. 'Senyar' is the next name on the current rotating roster.

The meteorological department has predicted significant rainfall across several regions:

Tamil Nadu: Heavy rainfall is will occur from today to 27, with very heavy rainfall expected from November 28 to 30.

Kerala and Mahe: These areas are likely to experience heavy rain between till November 26.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Heavy rainfall is forecast till November 29, with very heavy rainfall predicted between November 26 and 28.

Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam: These regions may receive heavy rainfall on November 29, followed by very heavy rain on November 30.

Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning are anticipated over Tamil Nadu till November 28; and on Kerala and Mahe will continue until November 26; Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on November 27 and 28.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands may also see thunderstorms with gusty winds, potentially reaching 40–50 kmph, over the next six days.
