Man detained for sloganeering at Delhi CM's event

This comes two days after the chief minister was allegedly attacked by a 41-year-old man at her Civil Lines Camp Office residence during a 'Jan Sunwai' programme on Wednesday.

Police personnel detain a man, dressed in a woman's dress, for raising slogans against BJP leader Arvinder Singh Lovely, at an event where Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was also present, at Gandhi Nagar in New Delhi, Friday.


A man was detained on Friday for raising slogans during Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's programme in Gandhi Nagar, police said.  He was immediately escorted out of the venue by security personnel, they said. 

 

This comes two days after the chief minister was allegedly attacked by a 41-year-old man at her Civil Lines Camp Office residence during a 'Jan Sunwai' programme on Wednesday. 

 

This was Gupta's first public appearance since the attack.
