The National Testing Agency on Saturday declared the results of the NEET (UG) examination. The NTA shared a post on their official ‘X’ handle and informed about the development.
The NEET (UG) examinations were held on May 4 across 548 cities in India and 14 international centres. More than 20.8 lakh students appeared for the NEET (UG) examination.Over 12.36 lakh candidates qualify for medical entrance exam NEET-UG are eligible to take part in the MCC and state-level counselling rounds.

Candidates have been awaiting the scorecards since the examination earlier this month. Those who qualify will be eligible for centralized counselling for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other UG medical courses across the country. The scorecard will provide important details including subject-wise marks, overall score, percentile, and qualifying status.Out of the 9,167 candidates registered under the PwBD category for NEET UG 2025, a total of 8,842 appeared for the exam, and 3,673 successfully qualified.
The NTA releases the provisional answer key nearly 25 days after the exam and allows candidates to raise objections. A panel of subject experts then reviews these challenges and re-evaluates the responses. If any objection is found valid, the answer is corrected, and a final answer key is published.
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying criteria to be considered eligible for the counselling process. In 2024, the qualifying percentile for General category candidates was 50%, while it was 40% for OBC, SC, and ST categories. Candidates belonging to the General-PwD category had to obtain at least 45%. These percentile scores are relative and based on the highest marks secured by a candidate in the all-India merit list. Hence, the actual cut-off marks corresponding to these percentiles may vary each year.
Once the NEET UG 2025 results are released, candidates must download and preserve the scorecard for admission and counselling-related processes. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) All India Quota counselling, as well as the respective state counselling processes. Candidates are advised to stay updated by checking the official website regularly, as the result may be published anytime today.
