Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his Diwali visit to Sir Creek in Gujarat’s Kutch district, assured India’s armed forces of his government’s unwavering stance on border integrity, declaring that not “an inch” of Indian territory would be compromised.
Speaking to personnel from the Border Security Force, Army, Navy, and Air Force, PM Modi praised the armed forces as India’s enduring shield, asserting that their presence assures citizens of the nation’s safety.
“People of India feel their country is safe because of you; when the world sees you, it sees India’s strength, when enemies see you, they see the end of their sinister plans,” he stated.
His remarks come amidst the backdrop of recent developments along the Line of Actual Control, where Indian and Chinese troops reached an agreement for disengagement at friction points in Demchok and Depsang Plains in eastern Ladakh.
The Prime Minister also highlighted his government’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s border infrastructure, calling it a “top priority.”
He encouraged integrated operations within the armed forces, saying, “we see the Army, Navy, and Air Force as different entities, but their strength will increase manifold when they come together.”
Additionally, PM Modi stressed on the untapped tourism potential of border regions like Kutch, noting that border tourism could play a vital role in bolstering national security.
