An investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack has revealed that more than 10 Kashmiri overground workers (OGWs) were directly involved with the attackers during the assault. Sources indicate that these OGWs maintained real-time communication with the terrorists, using encrypted messaging apps to coordinate the attack.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has been stationed at the site of the Pahalgam terror attack since April 23, has intensified its search for evidence. The NIA teams, led by an Inspector General (IG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and Superintendent of Police (SP) from the anti-terror agency, are actively questioning eyewitnesses who witnessed the attack.
The assault on April 22 resulted in the deaths of 26 people, including a Nepali national, and left over three dozen others injured. The attack took place around 2 pm at Baisaran meadow, located near the popular tourist town of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA teams are focusing on closely scrutinising the entry and exit points to gather clues about the terrorists' modus operandi. Forensic experts, along with other specialists, are conducting a meticulous search of the entire area to uncover evidence that may reveal the conspiracy behind the deadly attack.

In parallel, the Indian Army has been placed on high alert and has launched several search operations aimed at neutralising the terrorists responsible for the attack. The Pahalgam terror attack has sparked widespread outrage across the nation. Protests demanding stricter action against Pakistan over the attack have erupted, reflecting the deep anger and concern surrounding the incident.
On April 22, 26 people, primarily tourists, were killed, and more than a dozen others were injured in what has become one of the deadliest terror attacks since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Although the government has yet to officially confirm the exact number of casualties, the attack has been described as one of the most significant terror strikes in recent years.
In the wake of the attack, security forces have ramped up search operations to track down the perpetrators. The usually bustling streets of Pahalgam are now deserted, a stark reminder of the heightened security measures in place following the deadly assault.
