The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports has called National Testing Agency (NTA) Chairperson Pradeep Kumar Joshi and senior Education Ministry officials for deliberations on the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and implementation of reforms in the testing agency.
According to a Rajya Sabha notice, the panel will meet on May 21 to review the implementation of recommendations made by the K Radhakrishnan Committee on NTA reforms and assess the progress of the investigation into the NEET-UG paper leak case.
The committee, headed by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, has summoned Higher Education Secretary Vineet Joshi and NTA Chairperson Pradeep Kumar Joshi for discussions on the matter.

The NTA had cancelled the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), conducted on May 3, following allegations of irregularities and paper leaks. Nearly 23 lakh candidates had registered for the nationwide medical entrance examination.
The agency said it received information regarding alleged malpractice on May 7, four days after the examination was held.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier announced that the NEET-UG re-examination would be held on June 21 and said the medical entrance test would shift to a computer-based format from next year.
The parliamentary panel will also discuss the impact of Artificial Intelligence on education and measures to improve student employability. Representatives from Anthropic, Pratham, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Infosys and Indian Institute of Technology Madras have also been invited for consultations.
In a separate session, the committee is scheduled to hold discussions with officials from Aligarh Muslim University and the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions on reservation policies, vacancies and implementation of the National Education Policy.
