Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday to brief her on the Indian armed forces' precision strikes on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The strikes, conducted under Operation Sindoor, targeted nine key sites, including the headquarters and training centers of Pakistan-based terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). These sites were used to plan and direct terror attacks against India.
In a post shared on X, the President's office stated, "Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and briefed her about Operation Sindoor," along with pictures of the meeting.
The military action was carried out two weeks after the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, including a Nepali national.
