Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi during a public meeting, in Gayaji, Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday criticised the Opposition for their criticism of three controversial bills. The bills relate to the removal of the Prime Minister, chief ministers, and ministers who are under arrest for 30 days straight due to serious charges.

At a rally in Bihar, which is an important state for upcoming elections, Narendra Modi stated that everyone understands why the opposition leaders of the INDIA bloc are worried about the new laws that have been proposed. Modi asked, "Do we know why the Opposition is afraid of these laws?" while speaking at the rally in Gayaji.

On Wednesday, the leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc made the protests in the Lok Sabha even stronger right after the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, introduced the three controversial bills.

The controversial bills include the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, which deals with the Prime Minister, states, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi; the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill; and the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill.

The three bills say that if a current minister, chief minister, or prime minister is arrested or held for 30 days without being released, they will have to leave their position. This applies if the person is charged with a crime that could result in at least five years in prison. Prime Minister Modi started some new projects.

Earlier, he launched several initiatives, such as the 660 MW Buxar thermal power plant, which cost a total of ₹6,880 crore and is located in Bihar's Gayaji district. Narendra Modi also started two trains — the Amrit Bharat Express from Gayaji to Delhi and the Buddhist Circuit train from Vaishali to Koderma. The second option will help increase tourism and pilgrimages to important Buddhist places in the area.

The medical facility has advanced oncology outpatient and inpatient wards, operating theatres, modern laboratories, a blood bank, and a 24-bed ICU and HDU, they said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon open the 1.86-km Aunta-Simaria Bridge that spans the Ganga River. It will create a direct link between Mokama in Patna district and Begusarai.
